…as vultures, land barons try to elbow him out

Respected church leader Reverend Obadiah Musindo has come out guns blazing, asserting that his housing project under the Destiny of Africa Network is unstoppable, despite attempts by “fraudsters” to undermine him in a bid to take over the initiative.

This strong statement follows the actions of Wilson Musokovere, a member of the Destiny of Africa Network Trust, who is currently under investigation by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) for multiple fraud charges.

Musokovere has been accused of utilizing deceptive tactics to swindle funds from the public by misrepresenting facts about the project.

“Masokovere has been trying to tarnish my image since 2021,” Musindo stated.

“He is using all sorts of underhanded tricks. I am the founder, president, and primary donor of Destiny of Africa Network, and I know he is colluding with my political rivals to discredit me.”

Musindo emphasized that he oversees all facets of the project personally.

“Masokovere is aware that his time is running out, and he is attempting to sabotage the good work I am doing for the community. He has gone so far as to employ fake pastors to defame me.”

He continued, clarifying the project’s scope: “This initiative is not solely focused on residential stands; it also involves capacity building, the construction of churches, and providing loans for income-generating projects.”

Musindo further revealed his disappointment in hiring Masokovere, expressing regret over not heeding warnings from other committee members who opposed his appointment.

“Masokovere is merely an employee. I regret bringing him on board, and he is not the chairperson of the Trust.

He is making efforts to hijack this project that I have carefully built.”

The situation, according to Musindo, has escalated to a concerning level, claiming that Masokovere has resorted to hiring thugs with intentions to harm him.

“When we attempted to conduct an audit in 2021, he orchestrated an attack involving thugs who assaulted our workers; many were injured, and some required hospitalization. Despite numerous reports made against him, he continues to roam free, claiming he is well-connected and untouchable.”

Furthermore, Musindo accused Masokovere of defrauding numerous community members.

“Many individuals have approached us, stating they paid money for stands that were never allocated to them.”

Investigations uncovered that Masokovere allegedly embezzled millions of dollars from Destiny of Africa Network, reportedly using the funds to purchase trucks and construct a shopping mall in Chiredzi.

As the conflict escalates, Musindo remains resolute in his commitment to the project and the community it serves, urging those affected to come forward and stand against the deceitful practices of fraudsters like Masokovere.
